Trying to catch a ride from Antofagasta proved to be more challenging than expected. We were waiting for a long time and started to get desperate. Then the guy from the petrol station gave us a golden hint and nodded towards a trucker. Turned out his name was Julio and he was going straight to Santiago. We literally jumped at that opportunity and spent the next 25 hours and 1370 km in his truck playing board games, eating in restaurants and listening to Greek music.
