We reached the town of Abancay after two days of hitching. There, José our couchsurfer was waiting for us and hosted us for a night. We met his family and had a jam session with Panos on the keyboard and José on the guitar. We even tried playing the cajón with traditional Peruvian rhythms. Nikoletta had her hair done by José’s mum plotted into a “trenza”.
