One of the things I wanted to do while travelling was reading. So I took a book from home with me and since then I am looking for new books.
I find these in bookshops with an English-speaking section (which are quite rare), in thrift shops or from swapping the old book for a new in the bookshelf of a hostel. The choice of books is pretty limited, so it’s quite a hunt finding my next interesting book. Here is the list of what I have read so far.
- Jane Austen, Stolz und Vorurteil
- Scott O’Dell, Island of the blue dolphins
- J. M. Barrie, Peter Pan
- Arthur Conan Doyle – The valley of fear
- J. R. R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
- Haruki Murakami, Die Pilgerjahre des farbenlosen Herrn Tazaki
Right now I’m reading Victoria Hislop, The Thread. Theoretically. Due to writing the blog and making macrame I’ve neglected it a little bit but will soon pick it up again.
