Since we were staying so close to the village of Huacachina we had to go and visit the famous oasis. Only 15 minutes away from our camp site we reached the top of a dune overlooking the village. We were quite disillusioned with the sight. Everything in the area was extremely touristy and expensive with locals trying to sell you buggy rides and sandboarding experiences.
