# 52 - Otho, his mum, his son and us

We weren't quite ready to leave Mexico yet. We wanted to head south and end up in South America, but due to safety concerns we didn't want to spend too much time in Guatemala City. So we were looking for a place to stay in Tapachula to figure out our next steps. Luckily, Otho (a friend of Florian's) agreed to host us, even though he met us only once before.

During our stay at Otho's, we met his son Siri and his mum Ana-Luisa. They were happy to have us in their home and we returned the favour by cooking a lot. :-) We spent three nights with them and even went on a day trip visiting the blackest beach we have ever seen in our lives. We are extremely thankful for the time we spent together.

Bus and flights were also booked. Next stop Guatemala City (by bus, for a stay of three days) and then by plane to Lima, Peru.
