# 46 - Our thoughts on solo travelling

So we started travelling solo. At first it was different and a bit weird being alone and experiencing Mexico without each other because we realised that we couldn't share our excitement and discoveries of new places and food with the other. A new dish, a cool graffiti, a beautiful building initially felt half-experienced. But that actually pushed us to meet people, make friends and share with them.

After meeting again in Puebla we both thought that the other had changed in appearance. We still don't know why. Driving to Oaxaca we had a long bus ride ahead of us. Exchanging all our news, we found out that we visited many of the same places and that we both spent most of our time eating local delicious food! You can't really help it when you are in Mexico.. :-)

Are we gonna go solo travelling again? Sure! As soon as the next inviting and safe environment comes up to do so we are up for it. We definitely recommend it to couples and travel-buddies. It brakes the routine, brings you closer to local people, pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes travelling together exciting and appreciated again.
