# 13 - Five days in New York City

New York has been a lesson that people are nice and helpful no matter how big and faceless a city is thought to be.
We made new friends, experienced the Greeks of Astoria in Queens and lived the frenzied way of life of the Big Apple.

Couchsurfing New York:
We spent the first 2 nights at Erika's place who wasn't even at home at that point but kindly offered us to stay over. The next 3 nights we spent at Cristina's and Paul's place in Astoria. We spent a whole day together with their friends and family at the park, swimming at the pool and having a delicious huge pizza. We're very lucky to have met them and we hope to return the favour back in Greece!

But we soon realised that the city was not very suitable for our way of travelling and we decided that 5 days was more than enough in the big city and we felt ready to explore the US a bit more.
