Yes, it was a little bit surreal. Especially since St. Kilda was not very big on Christmas decorations, no parents were there to drag us to church, we got to work every day... and it was very warm. So apart from that special rooftop lunch in the hostel and that crazy Christmas garden party we went to, things were quite uneventful. It was a bit like skipping Christmas but that’s totally fine. It kinda saved us from getting homesick.
