After being stuck in snow, we reached the shores of lake Titicaca on the same day. Taking a colectivo the moment we arrived in the city of Juliaca, we encountered the quaint little village of Llachón where we set camp on the grounds of Casa Valentín, an inn with an amazing view over the lake. Never again did we pitch our tent at an altitude of 3800m. We helped around in the inn’s kitchen serving food and washing piles of dishes.
