We didn’t have much luck hitching a ride to the border with Chile so we took a bus. The bus terminal was a mess with practically two buses going to the city of Arica. We struggled to find a bus with enough luggage space for our huge backpacks with the drivers confusing us but eventually we boarded one and reached the Peruvian border. Orderly lines and quick checks led us to the Chilean side where we got one more stamp on our passports!
