There we were, outside the house of Nikoletta's uncle Dimitris and his wife Laurie. Hoping for somebody to be home, we rang the bell.
They were very welcoming and we also got to meet aunt Matina.
Nikoletta was very touched by this encounter. She had never met her uncle before and apart from some brief messages they knew nothing about each other's lives. But they quickly realised that love for their family was all they needed to feel connected.
