# 2 - How it all began..

It all started with a little handmade notebook. Nikoletta had been thinking about the trip for quite some time and was nervous about asking me but she eventually dropped the bomb on the 25th March. It came in the form of a notebook filled with subtle hints about travelling and small quizzes like guessing the price of a beer can in bahts (Thailand's currency), among other things. The last page wrote "Do you want to go together for a long trip around the world?"

I already knew my answer there and then and even after thinking about it for some time I still thought it was an awesome idea.
